3. The tighter the water pump fan belt, the better

Tighter belt is not better. If the belt is too tight, it will not only elongate or break the belt, shorten the service life of the belt, but also cause deformation and bending of the generator shaft and water pump shaft and early damage to the bearing due to excessive tension. The tightness of the car engine fan belt should meet the technical requirements. Generally, the deflection of the normal belt assembly is 10-15mm.

4. The engine heats up at idle speed

When the temperature is raised at idle speed, due to the low speed, the oil pump cannot quickly press the lubricating oil into the lubricating surfaces, and the oil pressure is also low, so that the moving parts of the engine work under dry friction or semi-dry friction; Poor atomization will cause unburned fuel to escape into the crankcase, wash away the oil film on the cylinder wall, and accelerate the wear of the parts.

5. Bake the oil base with a blowtorch

Baking the oil base with a blowtorch in winter will not only cause chemical changes in the additives in the oil and lose their original performance, but also cause the oil to cement and deform the oil base, which may easily cause a fire. It is a good practice to select suitable engine oil according to the local low temperature in winter. Where conditions permit, it is best to park the vehicle in a garage with thermal insulation facilities.

6. Tire pressure should be high rather than low

Some people like to inflate the tire pressure higher, thinking that it can overload and save fuel. This is not correct. If the tire pressure is too high, the ground contact surface of the tire will be reduced, the wear will be aggravated, and the tire will be easily blown out. Excessive tire pressure will reduce the adhesion coefficient of the tire, reduce the braking effect during braking, increase the measured slip, and cause greater harm to driving safety.
